It has been over 400 years since porcelain production began in Arita. Arita porcelain, which has taken Japan and the world by storm, is now at a crossroads.  The ceramics market has continued to shrink since its peak in 1991. Now, Arita is looking for change.

To bring new creativity to this town The days of thinking about what can be done have begun.
